Northern Michigan Maternity Session
It’s always an honor to capture such special moments for families I’ve known for years, and this maternity session was no exception. I had the joy of photographing this beautiful family, who are eagerly awaiting the arrival of their fourth baby, a boy! After three wonderful girls, they’re excited to welcome a little brother into the mix.
We chose a fall day in Northern Michigan for this session, before mama was too pregnant to feel up to the task! This was my first time doing a session in this location, and it really created the ideal backdrop for this growing family. There’s something so magical about fall in Michigan! The crisp air, golden light, and those earthy tones that perfectly complement the love and excitement surrounding this pregnancy.
The love between this family was so evident during the session. The kids were full of energy, but fighting the wind, so I really had to work my magic for some smiles! One thing I know, this baby will be showered with love and attention from his older sisters.
Capturing the anticipation and joy before the baby arrives is always so special. These moments, full of excitement, family bond, and the beauty of Northern Michigan, are ones I know they’ll cherish for years to come. It was a privilege to document such a meaningful time in their lives, and I can’t wait to see their family grow even more with the addition of this little boy!
