Sweet Summer Newborn Session
There’s something magical about in-home newborn sessions, and Baby Harper’s was no exception. It was the perfect balance of cozy moments inside and fresh air outside, making for a truly special session (I always love to capture both indoor and outdoor, even in winter!)
Inside, we kept things simple and intimate, letting Harper’s family heirlooms and antiques add a personal touch to the images. Those meaningful details brought a unique warmth to the photos, making them feel even more special. Mom was prepared for the session with a stuffed animal from when she was a child, and an heirloom crib. My nostalgic heart and love of family history really loved capturing these special touches!
After some indoor shots we stepped out to the yard for some extra light mixed with the natural surroundings of just being in nature. The greens of the grass paired beautifully with Harper’s mom in a soft, neutral dress from my client closet. The contrast of the greenery with the simplicity of the dress gave the photos such a timeless, airy feel. It was the perfect mix of nature and elegance, and it added so much life to the session.
I love how this session turned out—capturing these moments in such a relaxed, natural environment really made the connection between Baby Harper and her family shine. If you’re expecting and want to capture your newborn in a way that feels personal and meaningful, I’d love to help you tell your story.
