Good Harbor Beach, Michigan
Just outside of Traverse City, Sleeping Bear Dunes is one of my most requested backdrops for family photography sessions. And can you see why? It's so beautiful, and this family was lucky with the best weather! The sweetest people and the beautiful beach setting made for the perfect documentations of their summer memories.
This family of six, with four little ones under the age of eight, was full of joy and energy throughout the session. Watching them run along the dunes, chase each other in the sand, and love on their parents during the sweet, candid moments made the shoot a breeze. The kids were full of personality, each one adding their own charm to the photos.
The golden hour light was the perfect touch, giving the photos that dreamy feel we always pray for during summer sessions! It’s moments like these that remind me why I love doing family sessions at sunset. There’s something magical about capturing those last moments of daylight, especially when it’s with a family so full of love and energy.
The Sleeping Bear Dunes provided not only the stunning scenery but also the perfect space for these kids to play and be themselves. I love that this family just relaxed and enjoyed each other in the moment!
